We served school lunch monday to friday for about 150 students and teachers, they get served by the waiter students, often two-courses. And we have the restaurant open for the public Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
One more question Owe - do the teachers visit the students while they are on placement? Who arranges the placements - the students or the school? (In Australia there are external placement agencies in many cases and they work with a number of schools and get to know the placement opportunities).
If the students themselves find an placement that´s fine. Otherwise, help the teacher! We have good contacts with the great restaurants in town or ferries.
Hi Owe! How is the labour market in Aland for the moment? Is it easy for the students to find restaurants for workplace learning?
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good, we have quite a large year round tourism and so we have our cruise ferries that need workers.
