The importance of getting the same size.

The teacher showed the students the right technique to hold the piping bag and pipe precise. She explained the importance of obtaining the same size of the meringues. Not the easiest task for a beginner but they got the hang of it pretty quick.

  1. When I visit a café this weekend I saw some maringues with chocolate, is it hard to do that kind of maringues?

  2. No, you just put egg white and sugar in a heat sensitive bowl and warm it up. Then wisk it cool and add some melted chocolate. Klick the meringue on a baking sheet and put in the oven to dry. That was the short version. :D

    1. Thanks again Annette! Well I love to take photos!
The teacher had approximately 20 students in this class. And almost all of them where beginners when it came to meringues. So the teacher had a lot to keep an eye on, but she was really great. She was calm and educational. Most of the students picked up the technique pretty fast.

  5. We did meringues today and I think it was quite difficult for the student to make them in the same size. We paint to on the paper to get the same size:)
